Current Available Positions: Organizing Specialist and Assistant Organizer
Organizing Specialist
Less is More® is looking to hire an Organizing Specialist for our Miami market. The Organizing Specialist leads organizing projects, working directly with the clients and overseeing other organizers on the job. The Organizing Specialist will also assist on unpack, organize, and style projects with a larger team.
The ideal candidate is a highly-organized, detail-oriented team player who is not afraid to work hard if it means making a difference in someone’s life.
Status: Part-time, hourly employee
Hours: 10am to 5pm, 3-4 days per week
Hourly rate: $35 to $38 (plus paid time off, annual bonus, paid training), $25 per hour for administrative tasks and staff meetings
Area: Miami-Dade County only
Training with a Master Organizer will be provided
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Project management: Conducts on-site needs assessments; Develops a customized plan and timeline for the project; Provides hands-on support throughout the decluttering and downsizing process using the Less is More® approach; Implements organizing systems tailored to each client’s needs; Researches and recommends appropriate organizing products, services and tools; Teaches strategies for maintenance; Follows up with clients to help them adapt to organizing systems
Client management: Coordinates client appointments and sets own schedule; Coordinates donations for clients, researching organizations as needed; Maintains client records
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Organizing requires mental and physical stamina. The Professional Organizer will need to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., climb stairs, and use a step stool or small ladder. Working in many different households requires the ability to tolerate typical household odors from pets, smoke or fragrances, and work around children or pets.
Project locations and work hours will vary depending on the project. We only serve Miami-Dade County.
Must have: access to the internet, a computer, a printer, a car, and a cell phone with voice mail
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher
At least 1 year experience performing organizing duties in a professional capacity. (This is not an entry-level position.)
Experience in customer service, household management, or working in an office environment are helpful.
Skills Needed
Highly organized and detail oriented
Has patience, is compassionate and non-judgmental. Team members are expected to be empathetic and emotionally tolerant of clients who may be anxious about the organizing process
Ability to manage time well and follow detailed instructions

Assistant Organizer
Less is More® is looking to hire an Assistant Organizer for our Miami market. The Assistant Organizer will work side-by-side with the Project Lead to help clients transform their cluttered homes into beautiful, organized spaces that work. The Assistant Organizer is a highly-organized, detail-oriented, team player who is not afraid to work hard if it means making a difference in someone’s life.
This is a perfect position for someone who wants to supplement their income by doing something they are passionate about.
Status: Part-time employee
Hours: As needed, 2 to 4 days per week. Typically, client sessions are held Monday thru Friday, 10am to 5pm.
Starting hourly rate: $30 for organizing jobs, $25 for administrative projects and staff meetings (plus paid time off, annual bonus, paid training)
Area: Miami-Dade County only
Duties and Responsibilities
Training with a Master Organizer will be provided
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
-Providing hands-on assistance to project leads throughout a client session using methods and techniques developed by Less is More
-Implementing organizing systems tailored to each client’s needs
-Sorting items and assisting clients make decisions
-Maintaining the tidiness of a work area
-Documenting the organizing process for project tracking purposes and social media use
-Dropping off donations at the end of each client session, returning unused supplies, picking up orders at The Container Store, running errands, etc.
-Additional responsibilities as needed
